Yesterday was a pretty lazy day. The kids watched tv & played video games until almost 1pm! JP and I had a lazy morning and then got up and made breakfast for the crew.
It was cloudy and over cast and cool so we didn't spend the morning outside. We played with the chicks later on in the afternoon and cleaned out their bin. I began to refinish the table we have on our deck and the kids played in the neighborhood. We made chicken tacos for dinner and the kids gobbled them up!

Today was a crazy day with me having to teach and the girls playing outside in the hot 85 degree sun. We took a break at lunch to play with the chicks in the shade and then it was back to work for JP and I. Once work was over, JP mowed the lawn and Naomi and I tried to get a rope into a tall branch by swinging the end with a wrench attached to it up to the tree. We finally got the branch but the wrench didn't weigh enough to come down once it was up in the tree! We were able to pull it down from the other end but this didn't help us get the rope wrapped around the branch. We were trying to hang up the swing we have that the kids use in the basement and the one tree branch that will work is very high up! We also were using rope that was way too thin. So next trip out to the hardware store we'll get better rope and maybe use a heavier item to swing it! Stay tuned!
JP and I made dinner after that while the kids took a tub. They were so dirty! I went up to check on them 45 minutes later and the tub water was cloudy just form the dirt on their bodies! Ugh, it was gross. So we drained the tub and soaped and shampooed. And then it was time for dinner. After dinner we took Pip for a walk. The kids scootered as we walked. It was so nice out this evening. Then bed!
The evening ended with JP watching the Phish concert while I did some work. Tomorrow I'll be going in to NHS to print the graduation programs and award certificates. JP took the day off to watch the kids while I'm in Needham. The plan is to set up the old slip n slide if it's hot out again tomorrow!
