This morning JP and I were a bit lazy in getting out of bed. We were up and doing work but just from bed! So as he got up to brush his teeth and shower, I ran down to tell Naomi to login to her google meet session with her teacher as it was just about 9am!
I got dressed and went down to check on the kids and then Juliet, JP and I walked Pip. I like this new routine that we do, now that it's nice out in the mornings. Its nice to wake up slowly and take a walk and then think about the work you'll be doing that day!
Juliet and I went down the basement and exercised then we went outside and dug out more of the area in the back by our flower beds against the rock wall. The neighbor gave us a bunch of raspberry plants! So I had to get them in the ground. Juliet started out helping me, but then lost interest 15 minutes in! She played in the garage with JP's tools until she dropped one on her toes! Naomi mean while was inside doing a painting kit she got for her birthday. It came out really nice! She mixed colors and everything!
We made lunch and then we all went into separate areas of the house and worked. Naomi read a book in the living room. Juliet played on the iPad, JP worked at the kitchen table and I worked in the dining room. And that was how the afternoon went!
Round 5:00 JP and I stopped working and took Pip for a walk. JP made dinner while I looked at outdoor gas fire pits and outdoor sectionals. With the new deck set up we've got lots more space. So I'd like to get an outdoor couch to sit on. We called a plumber to see if we could get the grill hooked up to our natural gas from the house and possibly a fire pit too. He estimated it would cost $2,000 for him to do that for us. Ugh, things are so expensive! We could get a propane fire pit and a sectional for that! So we're still figuring out what we want to do.
Then we had dinner, took a bath, read books and went to bed!
