Tuesday. A teaching day for mom. A learning day for Naomi. A work day for JP. A play day for Juliet. Actually Juliet watched her teacher's youtube videos and did do some work today.JP and I walked Pip and Juliet rode her bike with us. Then JP got to work, Juliet got to her youtube lessons, Naomi was already meeting with her teacher, and I got ready for my first class. I invited my boss to join any of my classes today as she had asked us at our department meeting last week if she could pop in and see what we are doing. She joined in in my third class of the day where I team teach with a math teacher. We're having the kids make games that we can play virtually together. Today their draft for a commercial for their game was due. Several students have some great game ideas and even cuter commercials. Typically we'd do a real board game they would design and produce but we cannot do that remotely.
After my first three classes I had an hour and a half break and made lunch. We all ate lunch outside in the sun, but it was a bit chilly. I had a blanket on me while sitting out there. The kids had been out making potions and doing spells with the neighborhood kids. When I got there they were doing a spell to grow wings and turn into a fairy. They rode bikes and played outside the rest of the afternoon while JP and I worked. Around 3 when I had finished JP took a break and we walked Pip around the loop of our streets. When we went back inside Juliet came in to tell us we had a visitor. Grammy surprised us! The kids were excited to have a socially distanced visit. Juliet immediately went to get her stuffies to play with Grammy. Naomi only got a short visit as she had her Spanish tutor 10 minutes into Grammy's visit. But Grammy stuck around until after Naomi was done so she could have a little more of a visit with her.
As it is Tuesday - Dinner & A Movie Night - JP and I are going to watch the Phish show that they are live streaming each Tuesday. So that's our evening plan!
Oh and Harry Potter Chapter 5 is out! I haven't seen it yet but maybe during set break!
