It's Friday, we made it. By the time I rolled out of bed, Juliet was down looking at photos and eating breakfast, JP was getting ready to make coffee and Naomi was just finishing up her work. We walked Pip and then had breakfast. JP and I ended up working for a bit at the kitchen table after breakfast while the girls played in the family room with a bead kit and their barbie dolls.
In between working, I was looking up cast iron pans. JP wants to get one that replaces our big frying pan. I like the idea that it can go in the oven too. So I read a bunch of articles and review and I think I want to get an enameled two handle one from Lodge. And it turns out that is the same brand that David got for us when he bought our dutch oven and we love that! (If anyone reads this and uses a cast iron, let me know your thoughts on it!)
Anyway, we had lunch and then the kids went outside to play. They rode bikes and played outside all day. They have been playing with the neighborhood kids, socially distancing, almost every day. Today they were making potions and keeping dragon eggs warm so they could hatch in a few months. Naomi has this 'egg' with her in bed right now, she kept it warm all through dinner - which was take out pizza! The 'egg' is actually a rock by the way.
JP worked upstairs today - keeping out of the sun, as we all got sunburnt yesterday - and doing laundry! Thanks love! I worked on graduation program for Needham and then did my grading and emailing for the week. Juliet had requested pizza for dinner, so JP went out to CVS to get more bandaids as we were all out, and then picked up the pizza. He had to work tonight so he grabbed a few slices and went into the office while the girls and I had a few slices at the table as they laughed and giggled about the day.
We headed upstairs to take a tub as the kids were all hot and sweaty and sunscreeny from today. They barely fit in the tub together these days but they do love playing together still. Once they had been in there about an hour, they showed and dried off and brushed and got into pajamas. We read books and they moved their characters on their fit bit. Juliet made her goal twice today and three times yesterday! Naomi made her goal twice yesterday and once today. Anyway, they decided to sleep in Naomi's room tonight and after books got right into bed. Juliet fell right to sleep. Naomi not so much. JP and I had come downstairs to walk Pip and then watch a movie and do some work and she came down saying she was scared. So I went upstairs with her and rubbed her back a bit and told her that we just got notice that a thunderstorm was coming through so it might get loud. But we'd be safe. I went downstairs and saw JP outside. He was moving the chairs and other kids stuff inside before the potential tornado. So i told him I'd help and we grabbed the kids out door kitchen (which falls over in the wind) and as we picked it up the sky opened up on us. We ran and put it in the garage, and then dashed out and got the kids slides and any other light object that would fly around. We got a bit wet!
Now we're trying to watch Harry Potter 3 (and the Prizoner of Azkaban) for the third time as we keep falling asleep in the middle of it! Wish us luck this time!

And as today is day 64, a little music to commemorate it:
