This morning I got up and raced downstairs as it was almost time for Naomi to have Sunday School. We logged in and she muted her mic and was ready to listen. Juliet and I walked the dog and then when we got back Naomi said the teacher never showed up for the lesson. So at 10 it was supposed to be an all group video chat with the Rabbis and then a good bye as this is the last week of Sunday School until next fall. But no one spoke. Later JP and I received an email from the Rabbis saying there was a technical problem with Zoom this morning! So we never got to have our last class.

Once Sunday School was over, we made breakfast for the kids and coffee for the adults. The kids went off and played & JP and I worked. All the while we were having our house power washed. We hired a company to clean the vinyl siding and deck and today they started at 9:30 am! After a bit we had lunch and then packed up to go up to Lexington to get some shoes and visit with family. JP loaded up the bikes too. This was the farthest we've driven in 2 months! We got to Eric's and put on our face masks and got out a box of shoes (for Uncle Eric to check fit on) and entered the store. This is the first place the kids have been besides our house in 2 months! Well I guess Juliet came to Needham with me one day. But first for Naomi! The kids tried on a bunch of shoes, sneakers, sandals and flip flops! And we got several pairs for them for the summer! Then I convinced JP that he needed Birkenstocks to complete his 'Phish' hippie look. Plus they are comfortable. So he tried on a few pairs and was sold. I too got a pair of Birkenstocks, so I'm not sure what that says about me....
We then headed to their house. We got the bikes off the car and helmets on and waited for the Michelsons to be ready. JP, Juliet, Naomi and Noah were on bikes while Eric, Koko, Janelle and I were on foot. We walked along the neighborhoods and then along the pond, had a break at the baseball field by Trader Joes and then headed back. We had a mini picnic on the Michelsons' front yard after our bike ride/walk and we climbed their tree! Then we headed home.

The house looked great when we got home, the siding was so clean! I heated up leftover lasagna and we put the deck furniture back together. We did a different arrangement and it makes the deck feel bigger. I'd like to get a gas fire pit up there with a nice out door sofa. We don't spend much time out on the deck due to bugs, but maybe the fire pit will keep the bugs away?
We then ate dinner and headed off to bed. Everyone was tired from a great day today. It was weird going out to a store or to visit a family member. It was weird being in a store with no one else! I know that's not normal for most people at this point but the whole thing was very strange.
