The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is located in the Pudong district in Shanghai. It is 468 meters high and boasts the highest TV tower in Asia and the third in the world. It has 3 places where you can go and view the city within the tower. At 267 meters high it has the highest revolving restaurant with a view in Asia.(See photo) At one part of the tower you can go outside and look down through the glass bottom flooring! At the bottom of the tower is the "Shanghai Urban History and Development Museum," which is a maze to go through but has an amazing exhibit on the development of the city.
We began our day here at the tower. It was early when we arrived so it wasn't that crowded. You can see me posing in the first photo and not many people are around. We went up to the middle obervation deck first and looked around, then went up to the top most observation deck, see photo of me pointing to where we are.(Also pictured is a shot of the Bund) We had lunch in the revolving restaurant, which had the most amazing views in the city! Then we headed downstairs and walked through the museum. It was really good, but long and maze like. Everytime I turned the corner I thought it was the exit, but the museum kept on going. We had to rush out of the museum as we were late meeing back with the group, so the last 3/4 we ran past!
