I've been meaning to make a post about the money for a while. Here they have several different bills (5, 10, 20, 50, 100), like we do, however, their bills are all different in color and size. As the denomination on the bill gets smaller, so too does the size of the bill. The front of each bill has the same image of Mao while the back has different images from around the country. The ¥1 is usually in coin form but sometimes you will get a ¥1 note.
They have several different names for the money: Yuan, Reminbi, & Kuai. Yuan and Reminbi are more formal ways to say the currency where as Kuai is less formal and is similar to when we say 'bucks.'
¥1 = $0.15
