Day 85: Friday. Even though this was yesterday, I kinda forget what all we did. I had several meetings - with students, with my department with the school committee. The kids were off in the neighborhood climbing trees. Juliet had a play date with one of her friends. The chicks are thinking about escaping. And I got a letter in the mail that I wrote to my future self in a course I took this past winter on racial justice.
Learnin' some photoshop basics!
Day 86: Saturday. The kids watched tv while we slept in. We made a big breakfast and then did some science. And then played a game. It was so hot out that we decided to stay in playing for a bit! After a bit we decided to set up the slip n slide. We got it all set up and realized it was busted. So JP sat there spraying the slide and the girls while they ran through the water and slid down. We also let the chicks roam around the yard all afternoon while we're outside! The kids went back and forth from the slip n slide to the swing. We hung out most of the afternoon until the thunderstorm rolled in. We had a bit of warning though because JP was setting up the rain barrel and needed a few things from Home Depot. He texted us saying the sky was getting dark where he was. So we packed up all the snacks, cushions, chairs, and chicks and headed inside. We had just finished up getting everything inside when the dark clouds rolled in. The rest of the afternoon we spent watching the lego movie while JP finished up the rain barrel. He leveled the area and put crushed stone down and got all the parts needed for the barrel attaching to the down spout. The kids then got in the tub while JP finished up and we made dinner. We watched a lego movie while eating dinner, then headed off to bed!
OH and we realized that we had a new home improvement project to do... the closet fell apart...ugh...
Chicks free ranging! Slip n slidin' too!
Ugh, another project.
My handyman husband getting the rain barrel ready!
