So we're killing time while doing laundry. Thought we'd make a post of some random junk that doesn't fit in with any of our regular posts.

- Fast Food: It's everywhere! It was funny seeing KFC and McDonald's signs posted on temple/pagoda-style architecture. BTW, JP tried his hand at McDonald's. Ordered a 三 (#3 - Big Mac meal)...EXACTLY the same. The fries were a little over-salted, but that can happen anywhere. The Coke tasted just like he expected. The special sauce was a pleasant reminder of home. The mocha frappuccino from Starbucks was particularly tasty.
- Obama Mart: Nothing special...not tied in anyway to president Obama. We just thought it was funny.
- Beer: JP thought it was hilarious that they just spelled "Beer" backward. Haven't tasted it yet, but saw it and had to have it. The Tsing-Tao is strange in that it's smaller than a regular 12 oz. bottle.
- Haibao: Good God this guy is EVERYWHERE. He is the official mascot of the 2010 Expo (World's Fair). They basically took the character 人 (people) and gave it eyes and arms. You cannot go anywhere in this city (or Hangzhou, Zhouzhuang, etc.) without seeing him everywhere.
